AsProgrammer dregmod is a free, open source Windows GUI to read, write, erase and verify memory chips: SPI NOR flash (25xx), I2C EEPROMs (24xx) and more. Select the chip, dump it to a file or flash a new image, verify with CRC. With a Bus Pirate as the programmer you get all of this over SPI and I2C, no extra hardware needed.
New in v5:
- Bus Pirate 5, 6 and 7 support
- Bus Pirate v3.x
- New I2C scanner: address map, a guess at each device, one click copies the address into the I2C settings. It runs as a command and no longer blocks the GUI.
- Smoother UX: COM ports are a live list, no more GUI freezes, no external BP DLL.
- Reliability fixes and everything pending from upstream UsbAsp-flash merged in, including new supported chips.

Feedback and bug reports welcome.
I’ve added several practical Bus Pirate v6 tutorials to the project’s GitHub.
