Better plank feet

From here. I’m unhappy with the plank feet. They’re the most standard type, and the smallest I’ve found. Wish list:

  • Integrated M3 nut/threads, no need to screw the hex stand off awkwardly from the bottom
  • If not 1, then an M3 nut shaped cavity that holds the nut in place while screwing the bolt from the top
  • Ideally less taper, or even a straight cylinder.
  • Clear? White?

If changing the feet for the planks, it would be nice to add 2mm to the BP5 feet height …

to improve stackability.

Stacking is a small fit’n’finish detail, helpful in classroom scenarios, storage, or anytime using multiple units.

Raising only because, if the plank feet change, it may be possible to also adjust the BP feet height.

Adding 2mm to the BP feet would clear both the button and plank header, allowing stacking (see prior thread).

The extra 2mm would also make it easier to keep a debug connector between stacked boards, such as when the stack is also setup for flashing the units(*).

But, this is fit’n’finish stuff … and maybe others would weigh in against the taller feet?

I am all for the taller feet. I have three BPs that I would love to be able to stack.
