Exciting New STEAM Labz Video Series – A STEAM-Powered Adventure Awaits
Watch the video now to catch a glimpse of the creativity and technology we’re bringing to the table with our brand new STEAM Labz series!
The Video Hints at a STEAM-Packed Adventure
We just dropped an unofficial teaser video for our upcoming educational series, and it’s already generating buzz among tech enthusiasts and makers. The short teaser quietly launched during a LIVE by JoAT (Jeremiah of All Trades) on his YouTube channel gives a sneak peek into some of the electronics and creative projects we’ll be diving into.
Even though it’s unofficial, the teaser hints that we’re about to embark on a journey where technology meets imagination.
What the Series Will Focus On
This new series will be packed with hands-on projects and deep dives into all things S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math). Here’s a taste of what we’ll be covering:
- Innovative Science Experiments: We’ll break down core science concepts—physics, chemistry, biology—through exciting, futuristic DIY experiments.
- Tech & Coding Challenges: From programming to electronics builds, we’ll walk through how to make things like Software Defined Radios (SDRs), robotic builds, and clever DIY tech gadgets.
- Engineering in Action: You’ll see us design 3D CAD models, create functional prototypes, and tackle real-world problems using engineering principles.
- Artistic Creativity: True to the “A” in STEAM, we’re blending tech with design—digital art, 3D printing, and cutting-edge creative tools that make learning visually exciting, engaging and appealing.
- Mathematical Marvels: And yes, math is part of the fun too—expect cool and quantifiable data visualizations and practical applications like coding tricks or real-world modeling.
At its core, the series is about how these disciplines intersect. One episode might involve building a robot (engineering + tech) that is aesthetically pleasing while hiding Easter eggs in the circuitry (art) based on input from sensors (math + science). The teaser is fast-paced, but if you watch closely, you’ll catch glimpses of the Bus Pirate “Planks,” open-source logic analyzers, and other intriguing tech—all hinting at a series full of cross-disciplinary discovery.
Education Meets Imagination – STEAM in Action
What sets this series apart is our commitment to combining education with imagination. We’re not just talking theory—we’re getting hands-on with futuristic, approachable, and exciting content. That’s the essence of STEAM: bringing disciplines together in a creative, practical way.
We believe education is most powerful when it’s creative. Research backs that up—STEAM unlocks curiosity, problem-solving, and innovation by blending science with art and design. We’re leaning into that fully.
We want to spark your imagination. Maybe you’ll build a simple circuit—but we’ll challenge you to turn that into interactive art or a device that solves a real-world problem. That kind of creative learning sticks. And more importantly, it’s fun.
So imagine this: your favorite content creators and makers walking you through how to build a custom drone—covering flight physics, coding the flight controller, and even designing the body in CAD and printing it with consumer 3D printers like many of you have at home. You’ll also see how we use SDRs to build web-connected tools or track UAVs using DragonOS. It’s all about learning by building—and learning together.
That’s what STEAM Labz is all about.
Why I Think You’ll Love This Series
If you love tinkering, learning, or pushing tech boundaries—this series is for you. Whether you’re into microcontrollers, coding, reverse engineering, or just want to learn how to build cool stuff—we’re putting it all out there.
The teaser already showed off an SDR, a flamethrower, a prototype logic analyzer, and more—all packed into a single mystery box. That’s just the beginning. Expect a steady flow of projects where we code, build, and invent together.
The best part? You won’t just be watching—we’ll learn with you. We’re keeping it interactive, fun, and community-driven. There’ll be giveaways, challenges, and projects you can recreate at home. You don’t need to be an expert—we’re figuring it out as we go and showing you every step, including our mistakes, mishaps, and misfortunes along the way as we learn together.
And yes, we’ll showcase cutting-edge tools and tech, along with open-source hardware and software that help lower the barrier to entry. Raspberry Pi, Arduino, Portapack H4m, DragonOS, and the Bus Pirate (created by Ian Lesnet!) are just a few of the tools we’ll highlight. You’ll even see Hackaday’s own Tom Nardi’s SAO Plank for badge accessory testing—perfect to go along with the Bus Pirate 5 and GusmanB’s Logic Analyzer we’re giving away. You’ll be able to follow along at home with our educational series covering their features, as well as the development processes behind these projects!
We’re blending hacker culture, maker energy, and educational value into a format that’s accessible, modern, and straight-up fun. Whether you’re a seasoned hardware geek or just getting into the world of tech, you’ll find something here that excites you.
Join the Excitement
The teaser just scratches the surface—but it’s enough to get hyped. While we haven’t officially launched the full platform or YouTube channel yet, it’s coming soon. So keep an eye on JoAT’s YouTube channel and Discord server for details on giveaways, updates, announcements, and launch details.
In the meantime, check out the teaser video (if you haven’t already) and let’s get the conversation going:
