Hi!
I’m using the bus pirate V5 on a board with UART. The device is HG5142HT.
I have the following situation which I am unsure how to resolve.
I’ll refer to the pins as pin 1 - 5 in the order top (square) to down.
Pin 1: VOUT (red)
Pin 2: GND (black)
Pin 3: RX (brown IO4)
Pin 4: TX (purple IO5)
The settings that work:
Baud: 115200
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: None
Signal Inversion: Inverted
If I don’t connect TX, I am able to see output via RX. If I connect TX I get nothing.
The device needs to be powered on, but it seems I also need to supply power via VOUT using W (power on). I’ve tried with it off but no dice.
If it helps, the last line of output that I get from RX (without TX) is:
proc_set_uart_enable enable=0 g_uart_enable_boot=0x0
That tells me it might be inherently disabled, but since I can get output in the beginning during boot, I almost feel like it should be possible to perhaps drop into the bootloader.
What I am trying to do is to be able to give input while simultaneously receive output. On prior devices I’ve not had this issue. I don’t know what to do here, I am at a loss.
You guys have any ideas? All help is greatly appreciated.
