Unable to use SUMP logic analyzer

Hi.

I tried to use my BP5 with sigrok/puseview as a logic analyzer.

When i select binmode and type 1 to enable SUMP logic analyzer it asks if i want to save settings and then i am back in HiZ mode.

What did i miss here? Think i am holding it wrong.

Thanks.

HiZ> binmode

Select binary mode
 1. SUMP logic analyzer
 2. Binmode test framework
 3. Arduino CH32V003 SWIO
 4. Follow along logic analyzer
 5. Legacy Binary Mode for Flashrom and AVRdude (EXPERIMENTAL)
 6. IRMAN IR decoder (LIRC, etc)
 7. AIR capture (AnalysIR, etc)
 x. Exit
 > 1
Binmode selected: SUMP logic analyzer

Save setting?

Hey @db1hdn!

After enabling sump mode then you connect pulseview to the second serial port (the one without the terminal). You can continue to use the bus pirate terminal and even set triggers in pulseview to capture stuff you do from the bus pirate.

Here’s a step by step, but I’ll add a stronger note about using the second serial port as it’s not made obvious.

Hi ian.

Thanks for he quick reply.
Buspirate did fine.

I only missed to run pulseview with correct access config to use serial in pulsview.
Now it works as expected.
