true. bugs are jsut part of the business or hobby. my hobbyist stuff also had a few “OOTB” bugs, too including hardware ones where a pull-resistor was just the wrong way round for a default. Scalpel and bodgewire time (bodged a THT resistor onto a SMD board there)
had to depoly a few this weekend, too. Had a few JST plugs without pigtails (was unable to source the right ones quickly), bodgewire and a glob of hot glue to secure the plug end fixed it.
was for a quick interposer to sniff a few signals while doing some REing work
We have 5 assembled prototypes. One to @dreg, one to me, and we’ll put the other 3 in store.buspirate at cost of parts+assembly.
Any idea when it should show up in the store?
I’ll get it setup tonight or tomorrow. I’ll post a link here when ready.
Soon I’ll make a PR with the functional POC firmwares to validate that the Plank is working properly, and then continue refining the firmware (for both PS2 and USB).
Any updated ETA on this, or possibly just a link to allow me to purchase it?
Lol, I was just looking in the shop and was about to post the same thing!
Yeah, with only three available, I do not want to miss out!
I’m sorry! I’ll get it up asap, got lost in building the doc system.
I don’t have an immediate use case for one, but would like to play with it. If someone else has a real need right away, please speak up and I’ll sit on my hands on this. I’m just a retired geezer playing with stuff
PS/2 & USB sniffer plank (developers only).
If you want it grab it, I think there are <= 3 people who will buy a prototype. Please, take my excess protos
@mbrugman I’m in the same boat as you, but I love trying new technology to keep my mind active. I have early signs of Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s, so I want to make the best of whatever time I have left to tinker.
That being said, if anyone pipes up and expresses a direct need, I, too, will sit this one out.
Ordered. Thanks, Ian!
Glad you like it! I will ship next week because of the China Labor Day holiday this week and early next week.

My DIY PLANK works perfectly (PS2 & USB). I’ll give you feedback on the official PLANK once it arrives at my place.
Ha! Good work. Also, that’s the exact flexible keyboard I used to make the PS2 demo for the v3.x bus pirate. I think mine was pink or purple, because I strongly believe hacker tools should be pink.
Basic functionality is done. I’ll keep improving everything as I get feedback from the community and other developers.
